The Wells and Fakenham Railway

1854 Company incorporated; it was formed by local landowners and some directors of the Norfolk Railway.

1857 The line from Fakenham to Wells (9.5 miles (15.3 km)) opened

1859 A short branch to Wells Harbour was built.

1862 The line became part of the Great Eastern Railway.
