Westonzoyland Pumping Station - Museum of Steam Power and Land Drainage

Located close to the village of Westonzoyland near Bridgwater, Somerset, this museum has a large collection of steam engines and pumping machinery.

The largest exhibit is an Easton & Amos pumping machine - an early example of a centrifugal pump driven by a two-cylinder steam engine, built in 1861. Along with many other engines on the site, it can be run on steam. See website for steaming dates.

Other engines include several 'quick revolution' engines by Belliss & Morcom and other makers, and unique surviving examples of horizontal engines made by W & F Wills and by J Culverwell & Co., both of Bridgwater. There are two small steam turbines by Greenwood and Batley.

There is also a runnable Crossley diesel engine, and a narrow gauge railway system with two diesel locomotives (a Simplex and a Lister).
