William Gibbons
William Gibbons (1782–1848), connected with the iron and shipping interests of the port of Bristol
1782 Born, the only son of William Gibbons (1732-1807) and Phyllis (nee Watkins) (1760–1791), who ran the Gibbons family's merchant house at Bristol, buying pig iron for the family's midland forges and overseeing the export of metalwares to the American market.
Married Anne Every (1784–1855)
1807 After the death at Bristol of his father (William Gibbons), the Bristol house was signed over to his only son, William (1782–1848). At the same time the midland property was divided between his surviving brothers.
1815 Birth of son Benjamin
c.1830 With his cousin, Benjamin junior, William operated the Level New Furnaces
1848 Died
