1896-1900 In the Far East supervising erection of the firm's machines

1900 Director and works manager of J. Rhodes and Sons

1901 William H Rhodes 28, engineer, employer, lived in Wakefield with Mabel A Rhodes 21[2]

1904 Became Managing Director of Joseph Rhodes and Sons

1905 Elected member of the Inst Mech Eng.
