On large waterworks, chiefly in connection with Manchester Corporation under Bateman and Hill; on N.E. Railway under the late T. E. Harrison and afterwards the late Charles Harrison; Resident Engineer of the Irlam Section of the Manchester Ship Canal during construction and for 22 years an Engineering Inspector under the Local Government Board, now retired.
