1819 Possibly the son of William Smith (b.1785)

1881 Living at Stamford House, Headlands Road, Kettering: William Smith (age 62 born Kettering), Agricultural Engineer (Master) employing 12 men. With his wife Mary Smith (age 62 born Rothwell) and their two sons James Smith (age 29 born Kettering), Agricultural Engineer and Arthur Smith (age 17 born Kettering), Agricultural Engineer Assistant. One servant.[1]
