WILLIAM VICKERY PINFIELD was apprenticed to Messrs. John and Henry Gwynne of Hammersmith for five years.
He was then engaged with the Stirling Boiler Company on outside erection work.
In 1897 he commenced five years' service with Messrs. Allday and Onions as chief draughtsman, and spent nine further years in a similar capacity with Messrs. Guest, Keen and Nettlefolds.
Mr. Pinfield became an Associate Member of the Institution in 1907.
During the War he served with the Volunteer Battalion of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment On special instructional and guard duties, and since 1919 had been interested in heating and electrical engineering work.
He died at Birmingham on 27th January 1930, at the age of 60.
