Windovers of The Hyde, Hendon, London, NW9.
Originally Saddlers and Harness Makers in Ottery St Mary.
During the industrial revolution they moved to Grantham and then to Huntingdon to make carriages and coaches.
They later would build bodies for Rolls Royce and Bentley.
1924- They moved their factory to Hendon to be closer to their showrooms.
After the Second World War, Windovers successfully switched to coaches, fire engines and taxis
1956 - the business closed down in 1956.[1][2]
