1850 Listed in Slater’s Manchester & Salford Directory as coach builders, at Bale Street and 8 Oxford Street.

The 1849 O.S. map [1] shows a cluster of buildings, which include a 'Coach & Cabinet Manufactory', bounded by Bale Street, Oxford Street, Lower Mosley Street and Hall Street. The site is now occupied by a concrete office block called 'Peter House'.
