Coats's patent self-acting bobbin-making machine, intended for the manufacture of spools used in making-up sewing thread. It is capable of turning off two dozen of spools per minute, or about three times as many as can be done by the hand-machine. These are delivered on the lathe arbor, and are finished, and withdrawn in the finished state by the machine.
