1910 June 3rd. 'Scotland's first aviation meeting opened yesterday on the Pollok estate, near Glasgow, when Mr. James Radley, British aviator, made a series of exhibition flights on a Bleriot monoplane. During the afternoon he made six ascents, in the third of which he rose after a preliminary run of only 25 yards.'[1]
