1969 Company was involved in structural steel work and Goliath cranes^[4]

1972 Imperial Foods sold A. H. Allen and Co, steel stockholders and engineer's merchants, to British Steam Specialities^[5]

1972 BSS sold the structural steel fabricating division to Eleco Holdings^[6] which would be carried on as Allen Structures and Cranes^[7]

1985 BSS sold the steel stockholding business to Henry Barrett^[8]
