1992 BNL Ltd of Knaresborough was spun out as a separate company, in which Henry Barrett Group retained an interest.
1992 The listing of the shares in Henry Barrett Group was suspended pending clarification of the financial position; the steel stockholding side of the business was healthy but the construction side had almost no orders and debt had increased[8]. Receivers appointed; Barrett Steel Ltd was incorporated by members of the Barrett family to buyout the steel stockholding and steel buildings businesses[9].
