c.1981 Allied Insulators was renamed A. I. Industrial Products. The group had experienced substantial losses due to reduction in demand[1]

1985 Allied Insulators was incorporated to acquire the assets and business of the insulator division of A. I. Industrial Products PLC; it was a subsidiary of Pearson plc

1986 A. I. Industrial Products was found guilty under the Factories Act concerning demolition of driers containing asbestos; appeal against the decision[2]
