1895 Engineer and Manager of the Richmond Electric Light and Power Co.[2]

By 1900 was late chief engineer of the County of London and Brush Provincial Electric Lighting Company, Limited. [3]

1901 'Allan John Lawson, M.I.C.E., and a member the Canadian and American Institutes of Civil Engineers, said he had for more than twenty years been engaged in electric lighting, and had installed the electric light at Siam, Bournemouth, Wandsworth, Richmond, and many other places.'[4]
