of Hull. Fire protection contractor, offering sprayed-on coatings to protect structures against fire.

1974 Business established by Richard Tyekiff and Graham Neilson[1]

1983 Listed on USM. Principal customers were offshore oil and gas installations but the company planned to expand its customer base to onshore structures such as petrochemical plants and nuclear power stations.[2]

c.1986 "Rescued" by Morceau, its major competitor.[3]

1993 Tarmac floated its waterproofing businesses as Ruberoid including Permanite, Briggs Amasco and Aaronite.[4][5]
