Birth of son Henry Grandage (c1861-1946), founder and past president of the Society of Dyers and Colourists.

1881 Residing at Wheatley Hall: Abraham Grandage (age 44 born Bradford), American Snuff Merchant and Dyer. With his wife Ruth, three sons Henry Grandage (age 20 born Camberwell), Dyer Apprentice; Philip Grandage (age 4 born Bradford); Laurence Grandage (age 2 born Bradford). Also eight daughters.[1]

1911 Residing at Kent House, Rawdon, near Leeds: Abraham Grandage (age 74 born Bradford), Bradford Stuff Merchant and Dyer. With his wife Ruth and daughter Martha.[2]
