1939 An aluminium refinery was installed by Enfield Rolling Mills[1]

1960 Aluminium Ltd of Canada formed a joint venture with Enfield Rolling Mills to acquire the secondary smelter in Bradford then operated by Enfield Rolling Mills (Aluminium) Ltd; the JV was called Alcan Enfield Alloys Ltd[2]

By 1973 was an associated company of Alcan Aluminium (UK) Ltd; the other owner was The Delta Metal Co Ltd
