Born at Bristol the son of William Bennett (1803-1888) and his wife Jane Morgan

1933 Died. 'The funeral took place at Christ Church, Clifton, yesterday, Mr Alfred Henry Bennett, of 3, Worcester Crescent. Clifton, Bristol, who for many years was managing director the East Bristol Collieries, Ltd. Mr Bennett had been associated with the local coalfield for a period extending over more than half a century and it was only last year through ill-health that ceased to take active part in the conduct of the business.'[1]
