1802 'Notice is hereby given that the partnership between Messrs. Appleby, Scholefield and Company, heretofore carrying on the business of an Iron Founder, at Sheffield, in the County of York, and at Renishaw, in the County of Derby, was, on the thirty-first of last December, dissolved by mutual consent; and that the business in future will be carried on at Renishaw Furnace and Foundery (sic), by Messrs Appleby, Walker and Co, and at the Gibralter Foundery(sic) in Sheffield by Messrs Edward and John Scholefield. Dated this 29th day of May 1802. Appleby, Scholefield and Co. [1]

1833 '...the Partnership between the undersigned, Francis Rokeby Appleby, Charles Appleby, Samuel Gardner, John Walker, and William Walker, in the business of Iron-Masters and Coal-Miners, carried on at and near Renishaw, in the Parish of Eckington, in the County of Derby, under the firm of Appleby, Walker, and Company, was dissolved by mutual consent on the 31st day of December 1830, so far as relates to the said John Walker: all debts due and owing to and from the said Partnership will be received and paid by the said Francis Rokeby Appleby, Charles Appleby, Samuel Gardner, and William Walker, who will continue the said businesses...' 1850 William Walker dies. '...the Partnership formerly carried on and subsisting by and between Francis Rokeby Appleby, Charles Appleby, Samuel Gardner, and William Walker, as Ironmasters, Ironfounders, and Coalminers, at Renishaw, in the parish of Eckington, in the county of Derby, under the firm of Appleby, Walker, and Company, was dissolved and determined so far only as related to the said William Walker, by his death, on the 27th day of December 1848....'
