Archibald Colville (1853-1916) of David Colville and Sons

1853 Archibald Colville was born in Glasgow, son of David Colville

He received a commercial training at the famous East India trading house of James Finlay and Co.

He married Jeannie Miller, and they had two sons and five daughters.

1901 Assumed the chairmanship of Colvilles, on the death of his brother John

1916 Utterly exhausted with the effort of implementing his brother's David's schemes, he succumbed to a brief illness and died on 11 December.
