1894 Gained his "Masters" certificate
1898 A master mariner, married Catherine E Hodgkins in Cheltenham[3]
1901 Engineer (Merchant), employer, was visiting the Patrickson family in Whitley, Northumberland, with Catharine E Grice 26, and Catharine E Grice 1[4]
1903 With George Anderson and Co of Carnoustie, applied for a patent on stone sawing machinery - the first of several tens of patents that he gained.
1905 Arthur George Grice was managing director of George Anderson and Co when he applied for a patent on cranes of tubular construction.
1907 Arthur George Grice was managing director of George Anderson and Co (1905) Ltd when he applied for a patent on improved change speed gear for motor cars and the like.
1911 The final patent of Grice in conjunction with the Anderson company concerned stone cutting.
c.1911 With J. Talfourd Wood and C. M. Keiller founded G.W.K. Ltd to make motor cars.
Around this time presumably also founded G. and V. R. Ltd in Maidenhead.
1913 Arthur Grice, of the Cordwalles Works, Maidenhead, applied for a patent concerning motor vehicles with friction drive; half of the interest in the patent was assigned to G. and V. R. Ltd of Maidenhead.
1914 Was still chairman of George Anderson and Co (1905) Ltd
1919 of Marlow, patented improved steering mechanism for motor vehicles
1920 Grice, of the Cordwalles Works, Maidenhead, applied for a patent concerning improved friction driving gear for cars.
1920 Grice left the GWK company to start the Unit Car Co but this proved unsuccessful.
1923 Grice returned to GWK, when his previous partners left.
1925-27 Produced the Grice three-wheeler
1926 of Caversham, Reading, patented an improved friction driving mechanism.
1955 Died in Dover[5]
