1854 Barker and Dobson, Wholesale Confectioners, 75 Paradise street, Liverpool. Importers of French Bonbons, Chocolates etc.[2]
1861 '...Joseph Dobson, of Liverpool, in the county of Lancaster, Confectioner, trading and carrying on business under the style or firm of Barker and Dobson...'[3]
1927 Barker and Dobson registered as a company in order to take over H. Scribbans and Co who had been established in 1898.[4]
1952 Acquired by Scribbans-Kemp[5]
Scribbans-Kemp later became S. & K. Holdings
1972 S. & K. Holdings acquired Waller and Hartley
1973 S. & K. Holdings changed its name to Barker and Dobson; Barker and Dobson was renamed Barker and Dobson Manufacturing.[6]
1974 Sold its tobacco and confectionery wholesaling businesses to Palmer and Harvey except for use of the Waller and Hartley name.[7]
