Brin's Oxygen Co

1886 Brin's Oxygen Co was registered by the Sharp brothers on 26 January, to acquire certain patent rights in a process to produce oxygen by the method developed by the brothers Arthur and Leon Quentin Brin (based on cyclical oxidation and deoxidation of barium oxide).
1887 Licenced the Scottish and Irish Oxygen Co. Ltd and commenced operations at Polmadie in Glasgow in 1887.
1887 Licenced Birmingham Oxygen Co. Ltd
1890 Licensed Manchester Oxygen Co. Ltd.
1899 Acquired Birmingham Oxygen Co and Manchester Oxygen Co.
The Continental Oxygen Co. was established to operate the Brin process in France, Germany, and the USA.
1906 Obtained the patent rights to the Linde process, employing fractional distillation of liquid air.
1906 The name was changed to the British Oxygen Co. [1]
