1904 Fitted automatic signals on the London and South Western Railway near Grateley; the low-pressure power plant was at Grateley, and the air for working the signals was conveyed by pipes from the supply at Grateley. The signals were worked by air, the valves being opened and closed electrically, controlled by the track circuit.
