1949 Vitafoam Ltd. was founded by Norman Grimshaw at Glen Mill, Oldham.

1967 British Vita Co incorporated as a Limited Company to acquire the share capital of Vitafoam.[1]

1968 Vitafoam acquired Cooper Plastic Foams Ltd., maker of foam underlays.[2]

1968 Acquired the Clyde Rubber Works Co.[3]

1971 Maker of ubber components for the auto industry and foam and latex mouldings and cushions; bid for Miles Redfern [4]

1987 The company acquired Pennine Fibre Industries.[5]

2020 Company trading. Claim 2,800 employees across 37 sites in 14 countries.
