The Cannock Chase Colliery Co of Chasetown

1926 'The principle of co-partnership in the mining industry is to be introduced into the Staffordshire coalfield for the first time, the senior concern of its kind on the Cannock Chase. Only one other firm of coalworkers in the kingdom, the Staveley Coal and Iron Co, it is understood here, have such a scheme in operation. The Cannock Chase Co has this week decided to offer to the men 1000 £10 ordinary shares fully paid to any men who have been in the employ of the company for five years.' [1]
