1893 Carlo Gatty and Stevenson Limited was registered as a private company.[1] According to the prospectus of its successor company, the business amalgamated the interests of Carlo Gatti, who had been an ice merchant in London since 1857, with those of George Stevenson, first established in 1850.[2]

1901 Acquired by United Carlo Gatti, Stevenson and Slaters.
