1893 Established by the amalgamation of the business of George Stevenson and Carlo Gatti, both founded about 1848.

1901 Incorporated as a Limited Company, to take over the business of ice merchants of Carlo Gatti and Stevenson, Limited, and that portion of the business of Slaters, Limited relating to the importation and manufacture of ice. The capital of the new company was to be £300,000.[1].

1914 Directors: J. G. Bean (Chairman), Harry Stevenson (Managing Director). Madame Rosa Corazza, Luigi Corazza, Joseph Corazza, Alfred Slater.
