From Graces Guide

1992 Carlsberg and Allied Lyons agreed to merge their brewing activities and so Carlsberg-Tetley PLC was established on a 50/50 basis.

1993 Allied sold a 50% stake in its breweries to Carlsberg to form Carlsberg-Tetley.

1996 To strengthen their position on the British beer market, Carlsberg and Bass agreed to combine Carlsberg-Tetley and Bass Breweries but the merger was not ratified by the British Government

1997 The remaining stake in the brewing company was sold to Carlsberg.

1997 Carlsberg took over the 100% shareholding of Carlsberg-Tetley PLC, which was renamed Carlsberg UK in 2004.

By the end of the century Carlsberg-Tetley only had two breweries - Leeds and Northampton. Most of the Burton brewery had been sold to Bass.
