Chatterley Iron Co

From Graces Guide

1871 Charles James Homer and some local gentlemen formed the Chatterley Coal and Iron Co. Homer became the managing director.

They erected blast-furnaces, further developed the mines and and acquired additional collieries, including the Whitfield Colliery.

1891 The company was in liquidation. [1]
