1984 Racal Electronics Group purchased Chubb

1991 Racal announced plans to demerge Racal Security by giving shares in the company to Racal shareholders. The company included Chubb, Union, Lips and Pyrene[1]

1992 Chubb de-merged from Racal to form Chubb Security[2]

1997 Williams acquired the company which would be combined with Williams' Yale and Kidde companies[3]

2000 The company was de-merged from Williams to become Chubb plc[4].

2003 The company was acquired by the United Technologies Corporation
