1871 Company founded as Cornelius Redman & Sons
1934 Charles Churchill and Co took over Cornelius Redman & Sons, renaming it Churchill-Redman Ltd.
1956 Private company. Reorganisation - the Halifax division continued to use the name Churchill-Redman; the Scotswood division was named Churchill Gear Machines[1]
1961 Machine tool manufacturers, producing automatic multi tool and profile lathes, centre lathes, surfacing and boring lathes and shaping machines. 400 employees.
1966 Tube Investments acquired Charles Churchill and Co[2]
1972 Received support for a project from government programme for the machine tool industry [3]
1973 TI resumed use of the Charles Church name for its Blaydon-on-Tyne machine tool manufacturing and home sales operations[4]
