1974 Subsidiary formed by Herbert Morris Ltd to bring together its crane servicing activities, providing a maintenance and repair service for any make of crane.

1974 An electric overhead travelling crane which enabled pipes to be handled remotely from the crane operators cab was developed by Crane Aid Services, the service division of Herbert Morris Group, the Tubes Divisio of British Steel Corporation with the linear motors are made by Morris subsidiary, Linear Motors (Lintrol).

1975 Turnover exceeded £3 million.

c.1976 Local crane aid service operations established in South Africa and Australia, to be followed by similar services in Iran.
