1876 H. S. Crump of Alvin Works, Gloucester, exhibited wrought iron sheep troughs, made of galvanised iron, noted for their portability, lightness, and durability, at the Bath and West Show.[1]

1880 Exhibited at the Royal Agricultural Show at Carlisle.

1889 Advertising iron hurdles, iron hoops, sheep troughs, corn bins, cow cribs, shepherds' huts, greenhouses and other buildings.[2]

1897 Employs 35 persons.[3]
