1876 Born Bromsgrove, son of Howard Lloyd

1894 Attended Mason's College Birmingham; spent some time in private study in Vienna
1897 - 9 Apprenticed pattern-maker in Rugby with Willans and Robinson
1899 Working in the office of F. H. Medhurst on electrical engineering; consulting electrical engineer
1901 Joined the Inst of Civil Engineers
Returned to the family business of F. H. Lloyd and Co of which he later became a director
1907 Joined the board of N. Hingley and Sons[1]
1909 Married Phyllis Gretchen Waterlow
1911 Ironmaster (employer), living in Chaddesley Corbett and Broom, Worcs[2]
Also became chairman of Lloyds British Testing Co
Director of other companies including Lloyds Bank and the National Bank of Scotland
1918 Became chairman of N. Hingley and Sons
1922 MP for Dudley until 1929
1941 Elected MP again, until 1945
1961 Appointed President of N. Hingley and Sons
1963 Died at home in Worcestershire.[3].
