1855 Company established.
1889 'Messrs. David Rowell and Co., Government contractors and iron and steel merchant, of 2, Poet's Corner, Westminster, are moving on Monday next into new and more commodious offices at No. 5, Victoria Street, Westminster.'[1]
1903 Built the Sands suspension bridge at Swalwell over the River Derwent for access to allotments. This was a steel suspension bridge to replace an earlier wooden structure, said to be the only suspension bridge in Tyne and Wear.[2]
1914 Government Contractors, Engineers and Patentees. Specialities: iron wire and other fencing, iron roofs, iron buildings, horticultural buildings, wire rope suspension bridges, iron bridges etc. [3]
1926 William Thomas Moore - Managing Director of the company, dies.[4]
1937 Constructional and ventilating engineers. "Barrol" Ventilators. "Dupor" Systems of Ventilation and Square Mesh Fencing. "Rowic" Steel Fencing with Reinforced Concrete Posts. [5]
