Dougill's Engineering

Dougill's Engineering known under the Frick name was a Leeds based company who built these cars and commercial vehicles.
Previously Alfred Dougill and Co
1899 Dougill and Co of Leeds made a car.[1]

1903 Alfred Dougill and Co was wound up
1904 Catalogue issued by Alfred Dougill and Co who built motor cars, some with the Maurer transmission.[3]
1904-1907 Made some Frick cars and commercial vehicles
1905 March. Details of their 2-Ton Frick lorry.[4]
In 1906 at The Agricultural Hall Show one with a single-deck bus body was shown, 22 seats with three cylinder 7.2 litre engine. The vehicles featured an unusual drive via discs, friction wheels and two-step chain gearing.
1906 Produced 7 h.p. single-cylinder, 8-12 h.p. two-cylinder and 12-18 h.p. four-cylinder cars. Use a friction-plate clutch. [5]
1907 Registered offices: 34 and 36, Great George-street, Leeds; the Company was wound up voluntarily; Alfred H. Dougill chairman of the meeting[6]
