'...indenture, bearing date the 18th day of June 1847, made between James Laidler and George Plank, of Basinghall-street, in the city of London, Factors and Warehousemen, of the first part; William Barnard, of Lodgemore-mills, near Stroud, in the county of Gloucester, Woollen Manufacturer, and Peter Playne, of Dunkirk-mills, near Nailsworth, in the same county, Woollen Manufacturer, of the second part; and the several persons whose hands and seals are thereunto set, under the head of creditors of the said James Laidler and George Plank, of the third part; the said James Laidler and George Plank did assign and transfer unto the said William Barnard and Peter Playne, their executors, administrators, and assigns, all the stock in trade, debts, household furniture, estate, chattels, and effects...[1]
