1883 The company was registered on 16 February, to acquire from the Explosives Co, the patents for the United Kingdom and India, for the manufacture of a new gunpowder for military and sporting purposes. [1]

1890 The Anglo-American E.C. Powder Company, Limited was registered to acquire the rights of the E.C. Powder Company, Limited, for the manufacture and sale of their products in the United States

1892 the name of the Anglo-American E.C. Powder Company was changed to the American E.C. Powder Company, Limited.

1897 Amalgamation of the Anglo-American E.C. Powder Company with the American business of the Schultze Gunpowder Company, Limited; re-registration as the American E.C. and Schultze Gunpowder Co

1903 the whole of the property and floating assets of the American E.C. and Schultze Gunpowder Co were leased to the E.I. Dupont de Nemours Powder Company for 99 years.

1914 Specialities: highest grade smokeless sporting powders, the original hard grain powder. [2]

1918 Incorporated into Explosives Trades Ltd as part of the merger of 29 makers of explosives[3]
