1901 Presented a paper on "The Imperfect Pulverisation of Rocks by means of Stamping, and Suggestions for its Improvement." He had demonstrated that, by crushing through a coarse screen with a high drop, followed by re-crushing with a smaller drop, much greater efficiency could be obtained.
