Born the son of Jonathan Leeding, a Warehouse Porter.

1911 Residing at 19 Lynedale, Norton Road, Letchworth: Ernest John Leeding (age 34 born Stepney), Mechanical Engineer Draughtsman - Motor manufacturer. With his wife Mabel Emma, one son and one daughter.[1]

1916 Patent. Wolseley Motors and E. J. Leeding. Balance Gearing for motor vehicles.[2]
