c1861 Born at Huddersfield the son of Titus Thewlis (1813-1866) and his wife Mary Ann Eastwood

1885 Married(1) at Heaton Norris to Georgina, the daughter of George Percival, a Grocer. Edgar is a Mechanic and the son of Titus Thewlis, deceased, a Yarn Merchant.[1][2]

1891 Living at 58 Croll Lane, Huddersfield: Edgar Thewlis (age 30 born Huddersfield), Machine Worker (Fitter). With his wife Georgina Thewlis (age 32 born Stockport) and their two children; Jessie Thewlis (age 4 born Huddersfield) and Edgar P. Thewlis (age 1 born Huddersfield).[3]

1896 Married(2) at West Bromwich to Mary Alice the daughter of James Pinley Sharp

With his wife Mary Alice Thewlis (age 53 born West Bromwich) and their three children; Jessie Thewlis (age 24 born Huddersfield), Sewing Machinist; Edgar Percival Thewlis (age 21 born Huddersfield) Fitter Mechanic; and Georgina Thewlis (age 19 born Huddersfield), Shop Assistant. 1927 February 25th. Died. Of 114 Holmfield Road, Blackpool. Probate to his widow Mary Alice Thewlis
