Although there does not seem to have been a direct connection, this company had a very similar name to Edmundsons' Electricity Corporation which was nationalised in 1948 and had some key executives in common.

1964 A member of the Charterhouse Group which acquired Downes and Davies, a complementary business to Edmundsons[2]
1969 Charterhouse acquired the 25 percent it did not already own[3]
1969 Acquired Belco (London)[4]
1971 Name changed to Ventas Distribution Ltd
1972 Part of Ventas Distribution which was part of Charterhouse. Acquired Local Wholesalers (Aberdeen)[5], Electrical Supplies (London)[6] and W. A. Cowie (Electrical) of Widnes[7]
1973 Acquired L. W. Douthwaite and Co of Bradford[8] and Piggott and Harding of Beccles[9]
1973 Name changed to Edmundson Distribution Ltd of Knutsford, distributor of electrical equipment
1990 Name changed to Marlowe Holdings Ltd, distributor of electrical, household and DIY equipment
