Elijah Bowyer (c1822-1910) of Bowyers

Born the son of Abraham Bowyer

1851 Residing at Fore Street, Trowbridge: Abraham Bowyer (age 56 born Bradford, Wilts), Grocer and Baker employing 15 men. With his wife Esther (age 60 born Hinton) and son Elijah Bowyer (age 29 born Trowbridge), Grocer and Baker. Also one visitor, a niece, and seven servants.[1]

1865 Married at Cloford to Susan Ann Treasure

1891 Residing at 3 Stalland Street, Trowbridge: Elijah Bowyer (age 69 born Trowbridge), Miller and Bacon Curer (Employer). With his wife Susannah A. Bowyer, his daughter Eliza W. and a cousin.[2]

1910 May 14th. Died and memorial in Trowbridge Cemetery.

Will 'Mr. Elijah Bowyer, of Trowbridge, retired bacon curer and provision dealer, one of the founders of the Arm of Messrs. Bowyer, Philpot, and Payne,'[3]
