1770 Advertisement: 'At Messrs. EMMET and HOLDEN'S Iron-Foundery, Halifax, is continued to be made and sold as usual, All Sorts of Cast IRON, and BRASS STEPS, for Mills, &c.
Also at the same Place are made and sold, All Sorts of Cast Box and Solid Smoothing-Irons, sold plain, fine, or with Stove Doors, from new Patterns, and sold Wholesale at the lowest Prices. Orders sent above will be duly executed.
A Journeyman PLUMMER and GLAZIER, and a Journeyman WHITESMITH, are wanted.
