1880 Company founded. Was this as Chain-Belt Engineering Co of the same address?
1918 Private company. Presumably at this point adopted the Ewart name.
1927 Advert for chains. Also elevators and conveyors.
By 1935 Was an associated company of Leys Malleable Castings Co
1930s: chains combining steel and malleable components were produced giving greater strengths flexibility of use and increased market opportunities.
Next developed engineering class steel chains.
1937 Listed Exhibitor - British Industries Fair. Ewart's Chains in Ley's famous "Black Heart" Malleable Iron, of all types and sizes. Chain Wheels and Elevator Buckets. Complete Conveying Plant for Gas Works, Mines, Factories, Boiler Houses, Breweries, Warehouses, etc. (Stand Nos. D.603 and D.502).[1]

1940 Advert for chains for conveyors.
1945 Advert for manufactures of conveyors and elevators.
1961 Chainbelt manufacturers and conveyors engineers.[2]
1990s Started to manufacture plastic conveyor chains.
