By 1909 the Danish company had supplied c.1500 tube mills for cement plants worldwide and were installing rotary kiln at Wouldham Portland Cement Co, similar to the one they had installed at Coles, Shadbolt and Co near Uxbridge[2]
1919 Private company.
1925 They moved their office from 20, Essex-street, Strand, W.C 2, to Victoria Station House, Victoria-street, London.[3]
1961 Mechanical and consulting engineers. Specialists in cement making plant [4]
By 1976 the Industrial Equipment Division was using the F.L.S. trademark in its advertising[5]
1977 Acquired Tremletts Holdings[6]
1980 Became F. L. Smidth and Co (Holdings) Ltd
1985 Acquired Anglo Nordic[7]
By 1990 had become a major supplier to the aerospace industry.
