After 1848 Became W. and J. Yates

1890 Became Yates and Thom

1928 Became Foster, Yates and Thom when Joseph Foster and Sons acquired Yates and Thom.

1936 Public company.

1961 Heavy precision engineers and boiler makers. Products include steam raising plant, chemical plant, steam rolling mill equipment, mixing machinery, injection moulding machines and hydraulic presses for veneer and plywood, synthetic boards, compression and transfer moulding, palletting, drawing, forging and metal extrusion. 500 employees.[1]

By 1969 was owned by Electrical and Industrial Securities[2]
