1895 Started an agency for the rubber business in Glasgow
Inherited the Northern Rubber Co; he was keen to expand the business. His Glasgow agent wanted to expand into other products for the marine industry; the expansion was supported by Frank and his brother Stephen, forming Pegler Brothers and Co
1900 Met Fred Birchall who had experience as a brass founder. Frank agreed to put up the money for Fred to start a new operation to supply his merchandising company. The new business became part of Pegler Brothers and Co
